The ActewAGL Joint Venture today announced that its Chief Executive Officer, John Knox, will be concluding his tenure after eight years in the role.
Mr Knox has made a significant contribution to the organisation during his tenure as Chief Executive Officer and in previous roles.
John has led the organisation through a period of unprecedented change driven by the pace of the energy transition both in the ACT and across the country. He leaves the company well positioned to continue to support that change, while also ensuring delivery of safe and reliable energy services for the ACT and surrounds.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, John served as the Managing Director of Icon Water and member of the ActewAGL Board between 2014 and 2018 and Chief Financial Officer of ActewAGL from 2007 to 2014.
Mr Ray Hezkial has commenced as Interim Chief Executive Officer while a recruitment process takes place. Mr Hezkial was most recently the Managing Director of Icon Water since 2018. He is a very experienced utilities leader with a background in civil infrastructure and design and executive experience in significant capital works programs, network operations and maintenance and has been a member on the ActewAGL Board since 2019.
“On behalf of ActewAGL’s owners and the Board, we
wish John all the best for future endeavours and would like to thank him for
his leadership and service for over a decade with the group”, said Mr David
Gillespie, ActewAGL Board Chair.
